Dalia Nosratabadi first made her name with her series Upside Down, capturing reflections of landscapes in puddles. Through this work, she affirmed both her gift for aesthetic imagery and her talents as a photographer, taking us on a grand journey.
Today, Dalia remains as passionate as ever about the image of water, transporting us into a state of weightlessness. She has the gift of drawing us into a timeless universe. We find ourselves moving through a strange, ever-shifting world, as if we were floating in space.
The absence of an up or down — a negation of Newton’s law — reveals sensual, abandoned bodies evolving in improbable positions.
This work with models lies somewhere between portraiture and abstraction. The movement of the water and the constellations of air bubbles on fabric and skin disrupt all familiar references, evoking the idea of Creation itself.
Hence the title of this series, exhibited for the first time and exclusively: Gravity.
